By using and/or accessing the Website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”), the Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) and any and all other applicable operating rules, policies, price schedules and other supplemental terms and conditions or documents that may be published from time to time are expressly incorporated herein by reference (collectively, the “Agreement”). InsureBC and its subsidiaries, affiliates, and divisions are featured on our Website. Insureityourself Insurance Services Ltd. is a subsidiary of InsureBC and solely fulfills the online insurance product sales offered through insurebc.ca. Insureityourself Insurance Services Ltd. (“Insureityourself”) is a licensed insurance broker, staffed with licensed insurance agents who are employed by the InsureBC Group. Insureityourself is the broker of record for all policies sold via www.insurebc.ca and shop.insurebc.ca. Please review the complete Terms and Conditions carefully. If you do not agree to our Terms and Conditions in its entirety, you are not authorized to use the Website in any manner or form.
Agreement Acceptance
This agreement constitutes the entire and only agreement between you and us with respect to your use of this Website and supersedes all prior agreements, representations and/or understandings with respect to the Website. As such, you agree to the Terms and Conditions set forth in this agreement with respect to your use of the Website. We may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time in our sole discretion, without specific notice to you provided, however, that any amendment or modification to the arbitration provisions, prohibition on class actions provisions or any other provisions applicable to dispute resolution shall not apply to any disputes incurred prior to the applicable amendment or modification. The Website provides users with an opportunity to apply for quotations and purchase insurance products, for those who have reached the age of majority, and for those who possess the legal authority to create a binding legal obligation. The services in this Website are available to residents of British Columbia and Alberta only. The site materials include all services, information, data, documents, communications, downloads, links, files, images, videos, webcasts, tools, resources, products, and other content made available or enabled via the site by InsureBC, Insureityourself or any authorized party.

We reserve the right to use all information regarding your use of the Website, and any and all other personally identifiable information provided by you, in accordance with the terms of our Privacy Policy. Use of the Website, and all comments, feedback, information, Site Registration Data, or materials that you submit through or in association with the Website, is subject to our Privacy Policy.

Any attempt by any individual to damage, destroy, tamper with, vandalize and/or otherwise interfere with the operation of the Website, is a violation of criminal and civil law. InsureBC, Insureityourself and other subsidiaries and affiliates will pursue any and all remedies in this regard against any offending individual or entity to the fullest extent permissible by law.
Modification
InsureBC and its subsidiaries and affiliations reserve the right to edit, modify, or delete any documents, information or other content appearing on the Website in our sole discretion.
Recording of Phone Calls
InsureBC, Insureityourself, and its subsidiaries and affiliations may monitor and record all incoming and outgoing phone calls for record-keeping, training and quality-assurance purposes. All recorded phone calls are stored securely, and the recorded phone call will only be used for the purpose disclosed. Your phone call may be released to a third party to meet our obligations and assess your eligibility, premiums, and adjustment of claims. Our third-party partners also adhere to the applicable Privacy Laws which regulate the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as we do. If you do not wish to have your call recorded, you will be given an opportunity to communicate with InsureBC, Insureityourself, and its subsidiaries and affiliations using another method of communication.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold InsureBC, Insureityourself, and other subsidiaries and affiliates, and each of their respective members, officers, directors, employees, agents, co-branders and/or other partners, harmless from and against any and all claims, expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees), damages, suits, costs, demands and/or judgments whatsoever, made by any third party due to or arising out of: (a) your use of the Website and/or Services; (b) your breach of the Agreement; (c) any dispute between you and any Third-Party Service Providers; and/or (d) your violation of any rights, including intellectual property rights, of InsureBC, Insureityourself, and other subsidiaries and affiliates. The provisions of this Section are for the benefit of InsureBC, Insureityourself, their parent, subsidiaries and/or affiliates, and each of their respective officers, directors, members, employees, agents, shareholders, licensors, suppliers and/or attorneys. Each of these individuals and entities shall have the right to assert and enforce these provisions directly against you on its own behalf.
Ownership and Intellectual Property
The Website, and all contents and other elements available on or through this Website, are the property of InsureBC and Insureityourself and/or their content providers and are protected by the laws of Canada and relevant provincial laws. Your use of this Website does not transfer to you any ownership or other rights in the web site or its content. All rights reserved.
The text, illustrations, graphics, insurance policies, and images displayed on the Website are proprietary and will remain at all times the property of InsureBC and Insureityourself. Any reproduction is strictly prohibited.

Co-Branded Areas
In order to provide a greater breadth of services, certain functions provided on this Website are outsourced to third parties. Specifically, InsureBC has contracted third-party providers to help improve our technical services and operations as well as provide additional business services to our visitors. Certain pages within this Website, therefore, are operated and controlled by a third party (“Co-Branded Areas”). These Co-Branded Areas continue to display InsureBC’s, Insureityourself’s, and other subsidiaries and affiliate logos at the top of the page but are nonetheless operated and managed by a third party. The Website is licensed as an insurance producer in British Columbia and Alberta, Canada where InsureBC offers its products and services online and fulfilled through its digital subsidiary Insureityourself. The products and services on this website have been approved for use by the applicable departments of insurance and may not currently be available in all provinces. Quotes do not constitute a contract or an invitation to contract, or a binder of an agreement to extend, continue, or renew insurance coverages. Upon agreeing to the terms outlined during the purchase process, your insurance policy will be in effect as per the effective date you have provided during the purchase process. The coverage descriptions provided on this website are general descriptions of potentially available insurance coverage products and services and are not a statement of contract or an invitation to contract. Claims Submissions
If you file a claim under your policy, the information you submit and the loss details are subject to review and verification. We reserve the right to request additional information before submitting your claims information to your insurance carrier. In most cases, a claim representative from our insurance partners may contact you regarding your claim. Your claim is subject to the provisions in your policy.
Agreement to Conduct Electronic Transactions
We are required by law to provide certain disclosure to you before you enter into a transaction electronically via the Website, by phone, or email. In addition, we need your consent to enter into such transactions before we can deliver, or authorize the delivery of certain documents to you electronically. If you enter into a transaction with us via the website, or by phone or email, you acknowledge that you have read our Agreement to Conduct Electronic Transactions (available on www.insurebc.ca) and agree to the terms and conditions set forth therein.
Limitation of Liability
You expressly understand and agree that InsureBC, Insureityourself and all other subsidiaries and affiliates of InsureBC shall not be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential and/or exemplary damages including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses (even if Insureityourself has been advised of the possibility of such damages), to the fullest extent permissible by law for: (a) the use or the inability to use the site, services and/or any other products and/or services that you may apply for through the site; (b) the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services resulting from any goods, data, information and/or services purchased or obtained from, or transactions entered into through, the site; (c) the failure to qualify for services from our third party providers; (d) the unauthorized access to, or alteration of, your registration data; and (e) any other matter relating to the site, services and/or any other products and/or services that you may apply for through the site. This limitation applies to all causes of action, in the aggregate including, but not limited to, breach of contract, breach of warranty, negligence, strict liability, misrepresentations, and any and all other torts. You hereby release InsureBC and Insureityourself and their third-party providers from any and all obligations, liabilities, and claims in excess of the limitations stated herein. If applicable law does not permit such limitations, the maximum liability of InsureBC, Insureityourself, and all subsidiaries and affiliates to you under any and all circumstances will be three hundred dollars (USD$300.00). The negation of damages set forth above is a fundamental element of the basis of the bargain between you and Insureityourself. The Website, services, and/or any other products and/or services that you may apply for through the site would not be provided to you without such limitations.
Insurance Carriers – and how we get paid
All insurance products offered by InsureBC through its digital division Insureityourself are underwritten by various licensed Canadian insurance companies. Insureityourself is remunerated by either a policy fee charged and/or a commission on all insurance policies sold and renewed on behalf of the insurance companies we represent. Commissions and policy fees can range from 8% to 40% depending on the contract terms with the individual insurance company and/or the type of policy sold.
General Provisions
The laws and courts of Canada and the province of British Columbia govern these Terms, any action related to these Terms, and/or your use of the site. No choice of law rules of any jurisdiction will apply to any dispute under these Terms. You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the laws and courts located within the province of British Columbia, Canada.
No failure to exercise promptly any right under these Terms will create a continuing waiver or any expectation of non-enforcement. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, you agree that such provision will be replaced with a new provision that accomplishes the original purpose, and the other provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect.
