Your first step is to contact us as soon as possible should something happen that may require your insurance policy to respond. Once you contact us, we will initiate the claims process, contact the insurance company and ensure that one of their claims adjusters gets in touch with you as soon as possible.
Once they have been made aware of your situation, your insurance provider will review all the information pertaining to your claim and find the most suitable course of action. While you will be kept informed every step of the way, please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions about the process or have concerns about the manner in which your claim is being handled.

1. For car insurance, please call ICBC’s Dial-A-Claim Hotline directly within 24 hours:

2. An adjuster will be assigned to your case who will be in touch with you directly. You may be required to bring your vehicle to an ICBC facility for inspection or to an authorized repair center. Your adjuster will provide you with details on that.
How to make a claim
Information you’ll need to provide when you call ICBC:
- Plate number (If you can’t find it, don’t worry – ICBC can still assist you)
- Name of insured
- Cause of a loss or damage to your car
- Date and time of loss/accident
- If there was another vehicle involved, any information you have on their vehicle type, licence plate or driver’s license
- Be prepared to give a full statement of what happened
